Ah, it’s another chilly day in New York. Between the snow that just continues to pile up, the icy sidewalks on which I did quite the lovely split the other day, and the oh so cold temperatures it’s tough not to daydream of our next escape. The next best thing is to reminisce about the last trip we took…especially when that trip took us to sunny Sitges, Spain on January 1st.
It’s hard to believe that just six short weeks ago, which now feel like an eternity, Zeis and I and the women travelers we were traveling with were basking in the sunshine in Sitges. We enjoyed the ocean breezes, warm sun on our faces and although it was not a summer day, to us it felt like heaven. We were blessed by the weather gods on that trip. In fact, we were so lucky that we were celebrating the first day of the new year sitting outside for lunch. Yes, outside! If only we could be there again. But, here we are, in New York. Although many of us have grown a bit (or a lot) tired of the cold and bulky clothes and cabin fever has definitely set in, we probably should step back and appreciate the beauty of New York in the winter as well. However, this doesn’t mean we can’t dream about warmer days….
